Capt. Jim Ivy and CACO 2-7 Marines ‘at ease’ before the final formation

The officer with his hands on his hips is Jim Ivy, commanding officer of CACO 2-7 in ’71 and previously the XO. Jim doesn’t look much older than the Marines he commanded because he wasn’t. He was forming the Company on the basketball court before marching to the middle of the 2nd CAG HQ compound for the ‘stand-down’ ceremony.
