Vietnamese civilians were often wounded by booby traps or “dud” ordnance sprinkled liberally around the countryside. Usually, the wounded person would be carried into our day site by distraught relatives and friends. Doc Doggett provided initial treatment while somebody called for a medevac. Here, Doc and Willie are waiting for the chopper to land, accompanied by some of our RFs. “Balls” is standing at right, visibly growing out of his clothes.
